Capcom has offered another look at Resident Evil Requiem during its spotlight event overnight, which forms part of a creator’s message detailing various aspects of the upcoming horror title including concept, characters and the setting of Raccoon City.

Resident Evil Requiem is confirmed to take place about 30 years after the destruction of Raccoon City, and will see players control Grace Ashcroft as she investigates a series of murders at a hotel. This location just happens to be the same hotel where her mother, Resident Evil Outbreak’s Alyssa Ashcroft, was murdered eight years prior. Raccoon City will also play an important role in the game, with the wrecked city streets and R.P.D building seen in the reveal trailer.
Capcom will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil – known as Biohazard in Japan – in March 2026. Resident Evil Requiem is slated to launch for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on February 27, 2026.
