Capcom has revealed during its Q1 report for the current financial year that Resident Evil Requiem has sold eight million copies worldwide , with Pragmata also performing strongly with 2.5 million units shifted globally
The publisher noted that the period April 1 — June 30, 2026 saw net sales reach 70.41 billion yen, which represented an increase of 54.7% from the same period last year. Meanwhile, operating profit hit 41.05 billion yen, a year-on-year increase of 66.9%. Capcom sold 23.81 million games sold during this period, up from 14.16 million during the period last year.
“This included sales of all-new IP Pragmata, which surpassed 2.5 million units worldwide following a positive launch reception due to increased brand awareness achieved through robust promotional activities,” said Capcom. The publisher added that the Resident Evil franchise is “continuing to increase in popularity with a broad, global audience while sales of previous titles in the series also grew steadily due to pricing initiatives.”
It wasn’t just Resident Evil Requiem that put in a solid performance during this time. Capcom announced that Resident Evil 2 Remake has now hit 19.75 million units worldwide, while Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil 4 Remake have reached 18.41 million and 16.04 million, respectively. Bringing up the rear are Resident Evil Village (15.86 million) and Resident Evil 3 Remake (14.52 million).
