Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil: Veronica has notched up one million Wishlists across PS5 and PC following its announcement at Summer Game Fest last Friday.
“Deranged terror awaits the 1 million of you who have wishlisted Resident Evil Veronica,” the company posted on X. “Thank you!”
Resident Evil: Veronica is currently in development for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is a full reimagining of the Dreamcast title Resident Evil – CODE: Veronica, which was released in 2000 and later ported to the PS2 with extra scenes as CODE: Veronica X.
Set three months after the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, RE: Veronica sees Claire Redfield travelling to Europe in search of her brother Chris, one of the main characters in the original Resident Evil. Her search takes her to Paris, where she is captured by Umbrella forces and taken to the remote Rockfort Island, which is home to the Ashford family, one of the co-founders of Umbrella. However, things go south when the T-Virus leaks and Claire is forced to battle zombies and other creatures.
Resident Evil: Veronica is set to launch in 2027.
