Capcom and Sony Interactive Entertainment have released a new trailer for Resident Evil Village PSVR 2, and it’s looking mighty impressive. Something particular to note is that Ethan no longer has weird floating hands; rather, you see his whole arm in VR mode, which is a nice touch.
Check it out below.
Resident Evil Village will receive a free PSVR 2 update on February 22, 2023, the same day that Sony’s new headset is launched. The VR mode allows players to dual-wield weapons and offers a deeper interaction with the game’s puzzles and inventory. More details are below.
Visually, the vivid graphics of the 4K HDR display (2000×2040 per eye) and eye tracking produces a heightened perception of reality as if everything you see is actually there.
3D audio enhances the realism with audio from every angle, and your sense of touch is enhanced via the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers. With one controller in each hand, you can feel the vibration, recoil, and resistance as you interact with objects in the world and fire weapons.
Resident Evil Village was originally released for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One in May 2021. You can read our full review here. In addition, PSU went hands-on with the VR mode at the Tokyo Game Show last September, so grab our impressions on that while you’re at it.
