Resistance 2 gets patched tomorrow

Insomniac Games will release patch 1.60 for Resistance 2 tomorrow. Upon launching the game, you’ll be automatically prompted to download the patch.

Most of the fixes and updates seem minor. The most notable feature is the new Home functionality — you will soon be able to launch the game from within PlayStation Home. You will also be able to earn a "Field Medic" ribbon by healing your split-screen partner, and players’ access to Allies menu will be fixed. Another major change is that XP and Grey Tech earned during an offline cooperative game will be maintained when a player goes back online.

Insomniac’s overall goal is to continuously improve problems with server disconnects and matchmaking issues, as players continue to complain of randomly dropped servers and trouble linking-up for a match.
