Asobo Studio has polished off a new story trailer for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy ahead of its highly anticipated launch later this month.

Set 15 years prior to the events of A Plague Tale Requiem in 1334, this latest entry in the series introduces a dual-timeline mechanic that allows players to switch between the Middle Ages and Minoan periods, with events that transpire in the past able to impact the Middle Ages segments. The story follows Sophia as she must discover her connection to the Prima Macula’s ancient history, and unlike the previous two games, places greater emphasis on action over stealth. A such, Sophia is a more capable combatant, able to parry enemy attacks and execute them with deadly precision.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled for release on August 27, 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
