Developer Housemarque has celebrated the fourth anniversary of PS5 mega-hit Returnal with a release of a PS5 Pro update for players to tuck into.
The studio hasn’t actually gone into much detail about the update, simply stating on X, “Returnal PS5 Pro Enhanced Patch is Out Now! Featuring up to 2.5X the pixels on PS5 Pro for a higher resolution experience of Returnal.”

Returnal was released for the PS5 on April 30, 2021, and later came to the PC. Housemarque is of course now busy working on its next project, Saros, which was officially announced during Sony’s February 2025 State of Play event. The game is currently slated to appear in 2206 for the PS5.
