The studio behind critically-acclaimed PS5 title Returnal has revealed during a chat with Eurogamer that it’s hopeful the game will find a larger audience via PlayStation Plus.
Chatting at the BAFTAs, Ilari Kuittinen, the Managing Director at Housemarque, said it was “brilliant” that Returnal will be included in Sony’s newly-revamped PS Plus service, which launches in June with a three-tier membership option.
As you know, it’s been a while since the release. And we know the people who get into [subscriptions] play a lot. Sony does [make] some wise decisions, like funding this game. They started to fund this game five years ago, they took a leap of faith.
In case you missed it, Housemarque has reason to crack open the champagne this weekend, as Returnal picked up the gong for Best Game at the BAFTAs.
Returnal was released in April 2021 and you can have a gander at our full review here.
