Housemarque has shared new details on Returnal following the game’s release date announcement at The Game Awards 2020 last night, confirming what players can expect from the game in regards to PS5 DualSense functionality.
Chiefly, the shooter will allow players to utilise the Alt-Fire mode that is equipped on every weapon in the game, with the DualSense’s adaptive triggers used to switch between aiming down the sights and Alt-Fire depending on how hard the trigger is squeezed/
Elsewhere, haptic feedback is being employed in Returnal to “give players extra awareness of gameplay. You’ll be able to feel the natural ambience of this alien planet as the controller mimics its environmental effects.”
Returnal is scheduled for release in March 2021 for PS5 and you can watch a new trailer for the highly anticipated title here.
