DigixArt has staple-gunned an April 14 release date to Road 96 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, after previously confirming the game would launch that month after being delayed from its original August 2021 window.
Loan Fanise, CEO and Creative Director at DigixArt, commented:
We are so proud to have won these, we were hoping for one, five is unbelievable. There is a large audience waiting for innovative experiences nowadays, the gaming world has changed drastically over the last years. Road 96 is a collaborative creation, a reflection of the team’s diversity and shows that success is not a matter of a project’s size.
Road 96 takes place in the summer of 1996, and sees players embarking on an epic road trip filled with diverse locations and memorable characters. It’s more than just taking in the sights, though; you will be faced with crucial decision to make, which has a direct influence on your adventure, including the folk you’ll brush shoulders with and perhaps even the world itself.
The game plucks inspiration from the likes of Quentin Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, and Bong Joon-ho, and its development team’s pedigree speaks for itself, housing folk who worked on the likes of Valiant Hearts and Memories Retold.
Road 96 is out on April 14 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
