Mat Piscatella, executive director at Circana (NPD), has revealed that the PlayStation version of Roblox got off to a huge start, with only Call of Duty and Fortnite driving more engagement.
Roblox was released for PS5 and PS4 last week, and can be accessed by simply heading to the PlayStation Store and downloading the game’s app. Here’s what Piscatella had to say on the game’s launch:
Roblox had a huge debut week on PlayStation . According to Circana’s Player Engagement Tracker, during its launch week Roblox ranked 3rd in percentage of PlayStation players that played the title at least once. Only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Fortnite ranked higher.
Roblox is played by more than 65 million people on a daily basis, and was originally released in 2006 for the PC and later arrived on iOS and Android in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
Roblox is now available for PS5 & PS4.
