The product manager for the Rock Band series has said the upcoming fourth instalment in the music sim franchise will “be 1080p and will run at 60 FPS."
Speaking with MCV (via VideoGamer), Eric Pope said the studio has “built a brand new engine for Rock Band 4 to make the most of the new hardware.”
"It’s going to look ‘next-gen’ with more realistic lighting, character models, and animation,” he added.
He also spoke of his excitement for the online portion of Rock Band 4. “It will open a lot [of] opportunities for us to support the game in more reactive, timely ways,” said Pope.
Rock Band 4 was announced earlier this month and is due out on PS4 and Xbox One in October 2015.
