One would think that a New Year’s update would come before the end of the year or by January 1 at the latest, right? Wrong. Apparently, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will receive the Rock Band content on December 30, but PlayStation owners must wait until January 8. Four bands, which includes Snow Patrol, Jethro Tull, James Gang and Deep Purple will release four songs between them.
Snow Patrol debuts with "Take Back the City," which is their debut appearance on Rock Band. The title also adds Deep Purple’s "Space Trucking," James Gang’s "Funk #49," and Jethro Tull’s "Hymn 43."
Each will be available at the price of $1.99, but we’d imagine that a bundle should be made available that saves the user a couple of bucks. It may not be by the New Year, but look for the songs comes January 8 regardless.
