Rockstar Games has revealed that the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was captured entirely in-game on a PS5, and features a mix of both cutscenes and gameplay.
Speaking on social media, the company revealed that it wasn’t the PS5 Pro that provided the stunning trailer, but the standard version of the console, which approaching five years on the market.
Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscene.

The latest Grand Theft Auto VI shines the spotlight on its open-world Vice City location, which is inspired by Miami and was of course featured in the 1980s-set Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Vice City Stories. We also get a proper look at one of the game’s protagonists, Jason Duval, who teams up with Lucia in an effort to make some big bucks, as well as various supporting characters.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
