Rockstar Games has announced that it will be bringing all-new downloadable content to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Midnight Club: Los Angeles early next year.
Entitled ‘South Central Upgrade Map’, the DLC adds a substantial chunk of new city area for games to explore – one-third of the original map, to be precise – and you won’t have to pay a penny for it either, as its absolutely free. Players can look forward to cruising past a variety of L.A. landmarks as they explore this new location , including the Exposition Park, the USC campus, Shrine Auditorium, Crenshaw Plaza, and the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.
Also up for grabs around the same time is the ‘South Central Content Pack’, which (for an as of yet undisclosed price) adds various new highlights including new character competitions, races, cars and music.
Said Midnight Club Producer, Jay Panek: “This downloadable content hones in on a very iconic area of Los Angeles,” adding, “‘This South Central download features staples of the area, from the landmarks to the types of cars, and we think it really helps enhance the overall L.A. feel we set out to recreate.”
A solid release date has yet to be announced.
