Rocksteady Studios Job Listing Points To PS5 & Next-Gen Systems For ‘Unannounced AAA Title’

A new job listing posted by Batman Arkham series developer Rocksteady Studios has indicated that its next project, which is heavily rumoured to be a new Batman game, will launch on PS5 and next-generation systems.

The job opening is for a Senior Core Engine Programmer that will be working on the as-yet unannounced project, and mentions Unreal Engine 5. You can read the full description here:

You’ll also guide our content creators and game coders, developing tools tohelp them profile and optimise what they’ve created, and supporting them in their use of the engine. Your work will enable the team to deliver the highestquality game experience on our target hardware, including high-end PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and the next generation of console.

Rocksteady suffered a major setback with the release of its latest project, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which sold below expectations and deviated considerably from the company’s usual template being a live-service title.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Rocksteady Studios was working on a new single-player Batman game, although nothing official has been announced yet. The Bloomberg report that broke the rumour stated that the project is still years off at this point, which does make sense if Rocksteady is still hiring for the project .
