Dark Souls creator FromSoftware is reportedly working on a new Souls-like experience for the PS5, but it’s not Bloodborne 2. Better grab those salt shakers, folks, you may need them!
It’s worth noting that the source has a solid track record, having previously outed the Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island DLC. Even so, this is yet another in a long line of wild-sounding rumors that seem to be rearing their heads these days, so make sure you take it with a hefty dose of salt.
The studio has previously created PlayStation-exclusive titles in the shape of the original Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls, so if true, this project will be the third offering.

Interestingly, the rumors have cropped up just as reports have circulated about Sony hosting a new State of Play event on August 19, which will play host to a surprise announcement. Could this possibly be it? Okay, we wouldn’t hold our breath, but the timing is noteworthy.
FromSoftware is currently working on Elden Ring for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, with the game scheduled for release on January 21, 2022.
