UK Publication PlayGamer reckons another Heavenly Sword game is in the works, and not only that, but it’ll take the form of open-ended sandbox sequel.
According to the magazine, Heavenly Sword 2 will be set a decade after the events of the original game. Apparently, players will have to earn the series’ eponymous blade by boning up on some fancy material arts disciplines, with missions being replayable within an interactive environment.
The publication goes on to say that initial combat will be based around fundamental fisticuffs, before transitioning to more advanced techniques and eventually the godly blade itself.
Unsurprisingly, the mag says more information will be unveiled at E3 next month, so stay tuned for further details when – or indeed, if – they become available.
