A listing on the Australian Classification Board has seemingly outed development of a videogame adaptation of upcoming Columbia Pictures sci-fi flick, Battle: Los Angeles.
According the listing, the game’s currently in the works over at Saber Interactive, and will be published by Konami. It’ll release on multiple platforms, apparently, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
As for the film itself, Battle: Los Angeles nabs mild inspiration from the well-documented events of 1942’s The Battle of Los Angeles, where it was erroneously believed the city came under attack from a UFO. Unsurprisingly, the film kicks things up a notch, depicting a full-scale alien invasion of the United States.
Staring Michelle Rodriguez and Aaron Eckhart, Battle: Los Angeles may be familiar to gamers due to the fact a billboard for Insomniac’s Resistance 3 was spotted on the movie’s set back in October 2009. Just under a year later, the Chimera-blasting sequel was formally announced at GamesCom.
