ORIGINAL STORY

According to a report on Bloomberg, multiple parties are interested in snapping up Japanese gaming giant Square Enix. Right now, it isn’t clear if the focus is on the Final Fantasy publisher’s gaming division or the firm as a whole.

The report cites two bankers familiar with the matter via CFTN, although there’s no names mentioned in regard to what companies are reportedly interested in buying Square Enix.

Square Enix is obviously a massively successful company, and its digital entertainment business made up 72% of its total sales during the fiscal year ended March 2020, so it’s perhaps unsurprising there is a lot of interest in the company.
