Rumor: WET 2 cancelled?

Plans for a sequel to WET have apparently dried up, with a LinkedIn CV for Ian Cormier unearthed by Siliconera confirming that development of the actioner has been canned.

WET 2 was announced last year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though Cormier’s profile now lists the project as cancelled.

Furthemore, Siliconera adds that developer Behaviour Interactive (formally Artificial Mind and Movement) lost a number of employees earlier this year to various studios based in Montreal.

WET released back in 2009 and starred Eliza Dushku as sultry heroine Rubi Malone, a sword-swinging, gun-wielding bounty hunter. Playing as Malone, gamers are encouraged to drum up an exorbitant kill count to rake in as many points as possible by combining flashy acrobatics with sword/gunplay.

Stay tuned for more on the status of WET 2 as we get it.
