Guerrilla Games Killzone Project Killzone Remake Killzone Remaster News People Can Fly PS5

Rumour — A Killzone Remaster/Remake Is In The Early Stages Of Production

Guerrila Games is reportedly working with an external partner on a Killzone remake/remaster, according to MP1st. While nothing has been confirmed yet, the project is in the early stages of production and is likely to be a modern overhaul of the first Killzone.

According to sources speaking with the site, the Killzone project was meant to be the next focus for Guerrilla Games following Horizon Hunters Gathering. However, that game has now undergone a reboot of sorts due to negative feedback, making it the developer’s current priority. The Killzone project is reportedly due before Horizon 3, although MP1st noted these plans could change.

While details surrounding the new Killzone project are still a bit unclear, the most consistent info seems to be pointing towards a ‘visual uplift’ of an existing game, rather than a full reboot. As for what developer is in charge of the game, it’s looking like it could be People Can Fly; the studio signed an agreement to co-develop a project named Delta, which is based on an existing IP. While MP1st was unable to confirm this, it’s very likely that People Can Fly the external studio working with Guerrilla Games.

Back in March 2025, Joris de Man, the composer behind the Killzone franchise, stated during an interview with VideoGamer that he feels a remastered trilogy would probably be successful, but wasn’t so positive about a brand new entry in the franchise.
