A report on Android Central is claiming via ‘anonymous sources’ that Sony Interactive Entertainment is trimming its funding for PSVR 2 less than two years into the hardware’s lifecycle.
According to the site’s sources, there are currently only two first-party PSVR 2 games in development as the format holder looks to scale back on funding for the headset. This probably isn’t surprising to hear if true, as Sony has been very lacklustre on the first-party front when it comes to PSVR 2, although there’s still plenty of games thanks to ample third-party support.

It’s important to remember that Sony hasn’t announced anything about funding for PSVR 2 at this point, so take this with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, the company is gearing up for the launch of the PSVR 2 PC adapter in early August, so it’s still very much looking to push the hardware by opening it up to new users.
