Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has stated that we could get an official reveal for the Rayman Legends Remake this summer
Speaking on the latest IGW podcast, Henderson commented: “I think we’ll hear about it this summer. But who knows? They’re doing the Rayman Legends remake, so we’ll see.” Summer Game Fest takes place on June 5, so that seems like an obvious event to announce any major Rayman projects, and Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot previously stated that Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition was the “first step in the brand’s comeback,” so obviously the studio has more up its sleeves.
Meanwhile, Henderson added that he’s “hearing quite a lot of positive things about the Rayman Legends remake. That’s coming back with co-op an everything that people loved from that game. So, that’s gonna do well for them I think.”
Rayman Legends was released for PS3, PS Vita, PC, Xbox 360, and Wii U back in 2013, and was ported to PS4 and Xbox One the following year. The game builds on the gameplay formula of Rayman Origins, with multiple characters tackling each stage including Rayman, Globox, and Teensies, plus newcomer Barbara the Barbarian Princess and her various relations. Rayman Legends includes more than 120 stages, including 40 that have been remastered from the original Rayman Origins.
