Jeff Grubb has claimed that Sony is looking to host a PlayStation event in June, although isn’t sure of an exact date right now.
Here’s what Grubb had to say in a post on X:
PlayStation event in June. That’s the entirety of what I can confirm. No specific dates. Not sure if it’s a State of Play or a big boy Showcase, but I lean toward State of Play. That’s it. Anything else that people add is their own speculation.

Grubb’s comments come just a day after leaker NateDrake said that he hasn’t heard of any plans for a PlayStation event this month, which breaks a tradition from the format holder, as it has hosted an event in May since 2019. June however is a popular month for events, as we have Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase, so it would make sense Sony wants to get in on the action with one of its own.
Sony hasn’t officially announced a PlayStation event for June, so take this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
