Data found on the PlayStation Store has unearthed a symbol that strongly indicates that Sony is looking to introduce PS5 & PC Cross-Buy soon.
PC and Xbox owners have been entitled to Cross-Buy purchases for a while now, and Sony previously introduced its own version of the feature over a decade ago for PS3 & PS4 titles. However, X account Amethxst reported yesterday that new symbols have been found in files on the PlayStation Store, which all but confirm that PS5 & PC Cross-Buy is on the cards.
New Symbols will be added soon (website & tool), but here some nice new features from PlayStation (yes, some are old, other are unseen): A kind of “echo mode,” “PS5/PC games,” and “Cross-Buy.”

In addition, Dealabs, which has long been an extremely reliable source for PlayStation Plus leaks and other related content, added: “We decided to conduct our own investigation on the new symbols discovered, but especially on their date of addition to determine if they are not really old symbols.”
Leaker billbil-kun noted they were “Inserting special characters in the “About” section of our PlayStation Network account. And the result does indeed show that these symbols actually exist.“
While this is all compelling evidence supporting the addition of PS5 & PC Cross-Buy, keep in mind that Sony hasn’t announced anything yet, so take this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
