Rumour — Starfield PS5 Release Still On The Cards, But Its Release ‘May Have Slipped A Touch Later’ Than Planned

The long-rumoured PS5 release of Starfield is reportedly still happening but its release may have slipped further back than originally planned, according to well-known leaker NateTheHate.

Speaking on X in response to a user asked about the PS5 version of Starfield, the tipster replied, “Still happening; but the release may have slipped a touch later than originally planned. Will update when I can.”

Back in March of this year, The Verge’s Tom Warren stated that Starfield could arrive later this year alongside the game’s second expansion, and follows reports that the Starfield logo had been added to the game’s creation page.

Phil Spencer also touched base on the possibility of Starfield coming to other formats during a chat with Destin Legarie back in January, where he was asked if the sci-fi RPG would remain exclusive to Xbox. In his response, the Xbox chief said “there’s no reason for me to put a ring fence around any game and say ‘this game will not go to a place where it will find players and have business success for us.’

Starfield was originally release for PC and Xbox Series X/S back in September 2023.
