According to a report by insider Better Wrestling Experience, 2K’s WWE 2K24 is being billed as a dedication to the career of Bray Wyatt, who tragically passed away aged just 36 earlier this year.
While nothing official has been announced yet, it is speculated that Wyatt could appear on the cover for WWE 2K24, while the game’s Showcase mode may allow players to play through various highlights from the wrestler’s illustrious career.
WWE 2K24 has not yet attracted a release date, but there’s a strong belief that it may launch a few weeks before WrestleMania 4.0, going by 2K’s schedule for previous games in the franchise.
Wyatt passed away from a heart attack on August 24, 2023, and was suffering from COVID-19 earlier in the year, which excavated his previously existed heart condition. Triple H, the WWE’s chief content officer, broke the news of Wyatt’s passing, and fans paid tribute to the wrestler at Wembley Stadium on August 27 during the All-Elite Wrestling All In pay-per-view by lighting their mobile phones in unison.
The latest entry in the WWE video game series, WWE 2K23, came out in March 2023 and you can read our full verdict here.
