The developer behind the Saints Row franchise is reportedly beavering away on a brand new IP known as Agents of Mayhem.
That’s at least according to a series of documents spotted by Nerd Leaks, the first of which reveals that Koch Media, Volition’s parent company, filed a trademark for Agents of Mayhem with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on May 3.
Agents of Mayhem was also spotted on the resume for stuntman Brandon Molale, which reveals he did performance capture for various characters and lists Volition, Frame Machine and Zach Lowery as references. Interestingly, Lowery previously worked as lead animator on Saints Row: The Third and IV before departing for Boss Key Productions.
Finally, a listing for Agents of Mayhem can be seen on the resume for animator John Velazquez, revealing he worked on the title at Frame Machine, a design, animation and VFX studio.
Saints Row publisher Deep Silver has yet to announce any new projects from Volition, so take this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
Volition’s last release was the current-generation port of Saints Row IV, subtitled Re-elected, as well as the expansion pack Gat Out of Hell.
