Liquid Swords has staple-gunned a September 21, 2026 release date to the console versions of Samson: A Tyndalston Story, the high-octane action game that launched for Windows PC back in April.
Samson: A Tyndalston Story focuses on the titular character as he returns to the city of Tyndalston after a heist in St. Louis doesn’t go as planned. However, Samson’s sister, Oonagh is held by the St. Louis gang as collateral for his debts, and is therefore forced to team up with his old gang leader, his right-hand man, and friend to take on jobs to pay off the debt. This forms the basis for Samson’s gameplay, where players explore the city and complete missions, earning skill points to upgrade your abilities and skills.
Samson must also repay a certain amount of the debt each day, and failure to do so will see him hunted down by debt collectors the next day; if you fail three consecutive days, it’s game over. However, you will then be presented with the chance to load a new save or restart from the day before. Samson will battle foes in brutal melee-based combat while engaging in weapons training to enhance your combat prowess — all against the backdrop of a city that never forgets.
Samson: A Tyndalston launches Sept. 21 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
