Japanese publication Shounen Jump’s got the skinny on the latest character to show up in Tales of Xillia, namely a young lass named Elise Lutas.
According to Jump (via Andriasang), Lutas – designed by Kosuke Fujishima – is voiced by Yuki Horinaka and is accompanied by a talking teddy bear named Tippo. The cuddly critter’s voiced by Haruna Ikezawa.
Apparently, Lutas is first encountered in a sleepy village and is something of a master spirit wielder. Jump notes she’s also a bit of shy lass too, tending to get a little nervous of first encounters.
Unsurprisingly, Tippo the Teddy serves as Lutas’ primary weapon in combat, and apparently employs his teeth to dish out the damage.
Elsewhere, Jump also shined the spotlight on Tales of Xillia’s partner personalized support system. This gives gamers access to character-specific support skills when in link mode, such as Jude’s handy health boosting Restore ability.
Milla, meanwhile, possesses a Bind skill, which sprinkles an enemy with a certain percentage success rate. Providing a foe is in a dizzy state, the success rate will spike to 100 percent.
Tales of Xillia is due for release exclusively on PlayStation 3 in Japan later this year.
