A Japanese online retailer has posted the first "PlayStation 3 the Best" titles on their website. "PlayStation the Best" titles are also known as ‘Platinum titles’ in Europe and ‘Greatest Hits’ in the US. All games selling above a certain number, and being in stores for over a set number of months can make it to the list.
PlayStation the Best are budget titles, and usually sell for about $20 (on the PS2) in North America. The same goes for Europe, but with a Euro sign before the figure.
The Japanese retailers have listed the following budget titles:
– Resistance: Fall of Man
– Folklore
– Ninja Gaiden Sigma
– Gundam: Target in Sight
– Ridge Racer 7
All of the five titles above will retail for 3,800 yen, which is about $35. They will all arrive on March 19th.
An official announcement by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is yet to be released, but you can expect it to be soon. For all Americans and Europeans, we might have to wait a while longer for these low-priced titles.
