It’s good thing we have a flat-head screwdriver handy at PSU towers because without it we wouldn’t have been able to open the PS Vita game cartridge and accessory slots that are nestled on top of the unit.
We’ve seen a couple of reviews already mention that the slots are hard to open, but unless we happened to have finger nails like Freddy Krueger there’s no way we could have pried them open.
What’s more annoying is that we thought it would be a one-off and after opening the slots we’d be able to open them again easily. That’s not the case. Each time we’ve opened them up, we’ve had to wack out the screwdriver again.
It’s a good thing we landed a pocket-sized screwdriver set in a Christmas cracker, we think we’re going to have to keep it handy.
It’s worth noting that we have received a marketing sample of PS Vita, so shipped retail units may differ, but we’ve got a feeling a few people may well be heading down to their local hardware store when Vita lands next month.
