SEGA Confirms It Will Start Selling NFTs For ‘Classic IP’ In Summer 2021

SEGA Sammy has confirmed plans to start flogging NFTs related to its ‘classic IP’ beginning Summer 2021, and to accompany the announcement, has lifted the lid on a new partnership with Double Jump.Tokyo, a local Japanese game firm.

As part of the deal SEGA has invested in an undisclosed sum in the company, which is best known for its Crytpo Heroes game and the MCH+ blockchain platform.

SEGA revealed that its NFT rollout “will be the start of a sequential expansion into a variety of content, including IPs currently in development and new IPs to be released in the future. In the future, we will also explore ways to effectively utilise the NFT contents owned by users.
