SEGA has finally lifted the curtains its latest Sonic outing, formally known as Project Needlemouse.
Due out this summer, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 marks the spiky Blue hero’s first authentic sequel in over 15 years and will be released in episodes via digital distribution. It’ll be a 2D game sporting 3D graphics, interestingly enough.
While it’s been exceedingly difficult to get even remotely excited about a new Sonic game given the dismal decade the Blue Hedgehog has endured, this one may finally deliver the goods.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
