Silent Hill 2 movie finally scares up a director

The long-delayed Silent Hill 2 movie has finally nabbed itself a director in the form of Michael J. Bassett, reports horror site Shocktillyoudrop.

In addition, the site also confirmed that the sequel will be officially known as Silent Hill: Revelations, and will be shot in 3D. Much to our delight, it also spilled the beans on a few details concerning the movie’s plot.

Apparently it’ll draw heavily from the third game in the series, focusing on 18 year-old Heather Mason as she is drawn to the eponymous town in search of her missing father following a string of inexplicable nightmares.

No further details are known at this point, though we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any developments as they break.
