Silent Hill 2 Remake has sold one million copies worldwide, Bloober Team and Konami have announced.
The remake of 2001’s psychological horror title was released on October 8, 2024 for PS5 and PC, and will remain exclusive to Sony’s console for at least a year.
Silent Hill 2 Remake is a modern retelling of the classic PS2 survival horror title, completely overhauling the game’s visuals and combat while retaining the key narrative beats of its source material. One of the major changes is the switch to an over-the-shoulder viewpoint, which echoes the same style as the recent Resident Evil remakes, allowing for more precise combat.
