Motoi Okamoto, the series producer for Silent Hill, has revealed during an interview with Famitsu magazine that Silent Hill 2 Remake is now in the final stages of development.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was recently showcase during Sony’s State of Play broadcast on January 31, where a new trailer shined the spotlight on the game’s combat. Now, Okamoto-san has provided a brief update on the game, although wasn’t able to give much away.
We are in the final stages of development. Unfortunately, there is very little I can tell you at this point. As for the game, you can think of it as the Silent Hill 2 you envisioned, but with beautiful visuals that make it easy to play in today’s world and give you the same memories you had in the past.

Silent Hill 2 Remake has yet to attract a release date, but will launch simultaneously for PC and PS5.
