Silent Hill 2 Remake is now in the late stages of development, according to Bloober Team President Piotr Babeno.
Speaking during the GPW Innovation Day, Babeno revealed that the remake of Team Silent’s psychological horror title has been in development for about three years. The development team are now currently in the stage of polishing the game, although right now a release date still has yet to be announced.
Having said that, the Bloober Team boss said that Konami should be sharing info on the release date soon, and that the game’s budget is entirely covered by the Japanese studio.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is currently in development for PS5 and PC, and will be a console exclusive to Sony’s latest system for 12 months.
The game follows the same premise as the original PS2 game, with players controlling Jame Sunderland as he visits Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary. The remake features input from two key members of the 2001 version, namely Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka.
