The first images of Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 Remake have surfaced on the game’s official Steam listing, and suffice to say, they’re flexing some serious atmospheric muscle thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5.
Check them out below.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was announced during Konami’s Silent Hill Transmission event yesterday, and is confirmed to be in development for PS5 and PC. However, the game will be a console exclusive to Sony’s platform the first 12 months of availability.
Bloober Team is making the most out of the latest technology with Silent Hill 2 Remake, as the power of UE5 allows for ultra-realistic visuals, facial animations and more, while the PS5’s DualSense and 3D audio will also play a key role in immersing players as they explore the town.
Based on the original 2001 psychological horror classic, Silent Hill 2 Remake follows James Sunderland as he travels to the eponymous town after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary.
