Silent Hill Producer Looks To ‘Build Up The Series’ In 2024, Asks Fans To ‘Please Wait A Little Longer’

Motoi Okamoto, the series producer for Silent Hill, has given fresh hope that we may finally see some major activity for the psychological horror franchise in 2024.

Last year didn’t really see much of anything for fans other than the decidedly underwhelming Silent Hill Ascension, which wasn’t even a proper full-fledged series entry. However, Okamoto-san has told Famitsu magazine that Konami is looking to ‘build up’ the franchise throughout 2024 with new games and other endeavours.

Furthermore, he also suggested that more info would be coming soon, although whether this means a new Silent Hill Transmission event or something else is unknown. Fingers crossed it’s a long overdue update on Silent Hill 2 Remake!

We will continue to build up the ‘Silent Hill‘ series, both in games and otherwise: we have been delivering the TV drama-style interactive streaming ‘Silent Hill: Ascension‘ since November 2023, and in 2024, we will finally be able to build up the series with games. First, we would like to bring you a new follow-up report. Fans, please wait a little longer.

Konami announced a revival of the Silent Hill series in October 2022 with multiple projects in the works including Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill F, and Silent Hill Townfall. None of those games have seen the light of day yet, although Bloober Team, the studio behind the SH2 Remake, recently responded to fans’ frustration over lack of updates with an official statement.
