Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has been ‘locked’

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D producer Don Carmody has informed the chaps at ShockTillYouDrop.com that the horror flick has “locked,” with work now beginning on the film’s soundtrack.

In terms of a release date, Carmody said that the filmmakers are currently in talks with Lionsgate regarding this subject and hopes to have the movie out in late spring/early fall 2012.

Revelation focuses on Silent Hill 3 heroine Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens), who on the eve of her eighteenth birthday finds herself drawn to the foggy streets of Silent Hill in search of the truth surrounding her origins.

Here, she winds up in an alternate dimension ruled by cult leaders Claudia Wolf (Carrie-Anne Moss) and her father, Leonard (Malcolm McDowell). Revelations also features returning characters Christopher and Rose Da Silva, played by Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell, respectively.

The original Silent Hill film was released in 2006.
