Silksong Is Not Going To Appear At GamesCom Opening Night Live, Confirms Geoff Keighley

Geoff Keighley has revealed on X that the highly anticipated and elusive Hollow Knight: Silksong is not going to appear at GameCom Opening Night Live this week.

Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL. @TeamCherryGames is still cooking.

Originally conceived as DLC for Hollow Knight, Silksong was announced in February 2019 and is in development for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game follows a similar template to that of its predecessor, although Team Cherry has greatly expanded on the overall scope of the project, with 165 new enemies and over 100 different checkpoints confirmed to appear.

Team Cherry has yet to commit to a release date for Silksong, with the last update we heard being a delay back in May 2023 that pushed the game out of the first half of that year. Fast forward to April this year, and the game was spotted on an Australian ratings board, although we still don’t know exactly when Silksong is coming out.
