To celebrate the launch of Skylanders Trap Team in the U.K. today, Activision enlisted the help of a team of ‘SkyTrappers’ to play the game while jumping out of an airplane and embarking on a 12,500 ft free-fall skydive.
The message behind the marketing campaign is that, for the first time in the series, Skylanders can be played anywhere, with the launch of Trap Team on multiple platforms, including PS3, PS4, iPad, Kindle Fire and Android tablets.

Smyths Toys Superstores has just named Skylanders Trap Team in its list of Top Toys for Christmas 2014 and it’s not hard to see why. The game brings fun, digital characters into the real world and offers players a level of interaction that’s unheard of in most video games as they take the role of a Portal Master and explore the magical world trapping the evil dooers who have escaped from Cloudcracker prison.
