Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to emerge from cover for its first public showing at E3 early next month, and developer Sledgehammer Games has teased it’s got something ‘special’ lined up for the the game at the Los Angeles-based expo.
Writing on its official blog (via GamePur), the studio’s co-founders, Glenn Schofield and Michael Condrey, could barely contain their excitement in a message to the Call of Duty community.
"It’s hard to believe that it has been almost three years since we started working on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and the last time we were at E3 we were on the road sharing MW3,” said the duo.
"The anticipation of showing off the most ambitious project we’ve ever worked on is a truly humbling feeling, and we could not be more proud of the amazing work being crafted by the team at Sledgehammer Games. The studio is buzzing with the excitement and looking forward to sharing more from our game with you."
Advanced Warfare is scheduled to release on November 4, 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
It’s also rumored that Sledgehammer is teaming up with series creator Infinity Ward to release a remastered collection of the Modern Warfare trilogy.
