Sledgehammer hiring for new Call of Duty?

Developer Sledgehammer Games is seemingly on the lookout for fresh blood to work on a new Call of Duty title.

That’s according to a job advertisement posted on Gamasutra, which mentions “an unannounced high-end console title,” as well as new talent for Sledgehammer’s “Call of Duty development team.”

It goes on to say that the successful applicant will be involved in taking Call of Duty’s “online experience to a new level,” in addition to creating “multiplayer game modes and online community features.”

Sledgehammer Games co-developed this year’s entry in the franchise, Modern Warfare 3, alongside series veterans Infinity Ward. The firm was also working on a third-person CoD at one point before dumping the project in favour of working on MW3.

Call of Duty traditionally jumps between developers Infinity Ward and Treyarch, the latter having worked on 2010’s entry, Black Ops.
