Sniper Elite 4 targets Sold Out for physical release on PS4

Rebellion has announced new details on the upcoming 2016 release of Sniper Elite 4 on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.

The World War II-based shooter, which was officially unveiled last week, will be distributed for its physical release by Sold Out; the British company who previously teamed up with Rebellion for the Sniper Elite spin-off, Zombie Army Trilogy.

It is great to see that British software and development is not only alive and well, but through Rebellion’s efforts, actually flourishing,” commented Sold Out CEO, Gary Williamst. “Sold Out is delighted to be the harbor master for Rebellion’s boxed console journey.”

We’re extremely excited to be working alongside Sold Out again after the huge success of Zombie Army Trilogy, and this way we can produce the most successful Sniper Elite game to date, not only digitally, but also at retail,” added Rebellion Co-Founder and CEO, Jason Kingsley.

Sniper Elite 4 reunites gamers with gruff protagonist Karl Fairburne, as he embarks on another mission behind enemy lines, this time in Italy. Here, the sharp shooter will battle against Nazi foes throughout the forest and surrounding towns in an effort to put the kibosh on yet another dastardly plan, which threatens allied efforts including the D-Day landings.

The previous chapter in the franchise, Sniper Elite 3, was released on PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in summer 2014. Read our review of the game here.
