Sonic Movie Franchise Box Office Revenue Has Eclipsed $1 Billion

Global box office revenue for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie franchise has eclipsed the $1 billion milestone following the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in December 2024.

Sonic 3 alone has pulled in $336.3 million at the worldwide box office, with over $187 million earned in North American alone. The original Sonic movie launched in February 2020 while its sequel arrived two years later, and combined the two films have generated $725.2 million worldwide.

That’s not all though, as the Sonic films have earned $181 million in consumer spending on home rentals and purchases, with Paramount Plus’ Knuckles TV show ranked as the number one Kids and Family series of all time for the platform with 11 million global hours drummed up in its first 28 days.
