SEGA has announced that the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie will launch on December 20, 2024.
From the look of things all three major characters will be returning, and given the post-credits scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, there will be another familiar face joining the cast. Right now it’s unknown if Jim Carrey will be reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik, however.
Running faster, flying higher, and punching harder. #SonicMovie3 hits theatres on December 20, 2024.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was a massive success, grossing over $400 million worldwide in just three months. The film introduces Tails and Knuckles into the mix, and sees the Blue Blur battling against Robotnik once more as he tries to acquire the power of the Master Emerald.
Meanwhile, SEGA is currently working on the next major instalment in the video game series, Sonic Frontiers, which is slated for release on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in Holiday 2022.
