Sony Japan has revealed that the gorgeous-looking Demon’s Souls remake for PS5 will be a launch title when the console arrives on November 12 and November 19, depending on your region.
Demon’s Souls Arriving On PS5 For Launch
The news comes following a lengthy Demon’s Souls remake gameplay video that was showcased during Sony’s PS5 event this evening. From the look of things, this will be the PS5’s must-have game for day one.
The original version of Demon’s Souls was released for the PS3 back in 2009, and attracted a cult following but was never really a mainstream success. Nonetheless, it picked up rave reviews and kick-started the ‘Souls’ sub-genre of punishingly difficulty fantasy-RPGs that was further cemented with Dark Souls and its various sequels.
The Demon’s Souls remake is being handled by Bluepoint Games, who did a fantastic job at recreating Shadow of the Colossus for the PS4 a few years ago. So, it’s fair to say the game is in good hands.
